Am I at risk for malaria?

If you are travelling to a region known to be infected with malaria then you are at risk and should use anti-malaria tablets. This includes those returning to their home country to visit friends and relatives.

Avoiding Insect Bites

Malaria isn't the only disease that is transmitted through mosquito bites. In many tropical countries, they may also carry dengue, chikungunya, West Nile, Malaria, Yellow Fever or Zika.

Our tips for avoiding mosquito bites:

  • Cover up, wear long sleeves/trousers when possible
  • Use a repellant (we recommend Moskito Guard).
  • Use mosquito nets where possible.
