What vaccines do I need?

Getting travel vaccinations
If you've already used our Vaccine Check Tool and have had vaccines suggested. You can register and use the etool platform to complete an online consultation.
- If you're looking to save time you can register and complete the short consultation.
- Once the consultation is complete you'll be given a consultation code. Take a note of this, it will speed up your visit to the clinic.
- Contact one of the Reach Pharmacy Travel Health Clinics and arrange to come in.
- When you arrive, give our pharmacist your consultation code and they'll do the rest.
If you'd rather not fill in the consultation form yourself, no problem. Just contact one of the travel health clinics to arrange a visit and our pharmacist will do it for you when you come in.
Please note: Anti-malaria tablets can't be prescribed by your doctor on the NHS. This is a private service and you will need to pay for your treatment.

Anti-Malaria Service
There are around 100 countries thought to have some risk of malaria. Much of Africa, South America, South East Asia and India are malaria regions.
If you're not sure, use the Vaccine Check Tool to find out for certain.
Am I at risk for malaria?
If you are travelling to a region known to be infected with malaria then you are at risk and should use anti-malaria tablets. This includes those returning to their home country to visit friends and relatives.
Avoiding Insect Bites
Malaria isn't the only disease that is transmitted through mosquito bites. In many tropical countries, they may also carry dengue, chikungunya, West Nile, Malaria, Yellow Fever or Zika.
Our tips for avoiding mosquito bites:
- Cover up, wear long sleeves/trousers when possible
- Use a repellant (we recommend Moskito Guard).
- Use mosquito nets where possible.
